<Luk
Lucas von Graevenitz, also known as Luk, was born in 1987 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but spent his early years in Punta del Este, Uruguay, where he immersed himself in the local electronic scene. Luk, who now lives on Australia's Great Ocean Road, is a dedicated digger and timeless selector.
His journey into electronic music began in the early 2000s, when he discovered early Perlon releases, Richie Hawtin's "Closer To Edit," and Ricardo Villalobos' legendary Taka Taka set. After several years of involvement in the scene, including visits to respected clubs such as Milenio in Montevideo and La Morocha in Punta del Este, Luk developed relationships and gained musical knowledge, nurturing an insatiable desire to express his passion.
In 2005, Luk, alongside his friend Florencio, began mixing records, inspired by luminaries such as Dj Koolt, Nicolás Lutz, Z@p, Omar, Fede Lijtmaer, Bruno Gervais, Franco Cinelli, Jonas Kopp and Andrés Zacco. Friends who played a pivotal role in shaping his musical journey. Then in 2008, Luk embarked on a global adventure, traveling the world, embracing new musical experiences, and forming connections with like-minded individuals.
Luk's musical vision continues to evolve, drawing inspiration from his surroundings while steadfastly adhering to the analog allure of vinyl records. His recent work spans various styles, including ambient, house, techno, electro, breaks and acid, characterized by diverse textures and grooves. Luk thrives on adapting to the moment, tantalizing listeners with genre-blending gems. From house parties to major festivals, Luk has shared the stage with legends such as Dj Masda, Onur Özer, Nicolas Lutz, DJ Koolt, Quest, Z@p to name a few.
Presently, Luk concentrates on materializing his deep appreciation for a diverse musical spectrum by curating events with Espacio-Tiempo in Melbourne, hosting renowned international artists. Additionally, he runs GOR Entertainment Agency, spreading music along the Victorian coast and touring emerging international artists across the country and Asian continent.
